Drug Interactions
Blood concentration of Acemetacin may be affected if it is taken with cardiac stimulants, convulsion medicine (phenytoin), and lithium.
Drug efficacy of hypertensive drugs may decrease with this medication. It can also rapidly increase the elimination process of the diuretic furosemide from the body.
This drug may decrease the antihypertensive effect of ACE inhibitors and cause renal dysfunction.
Potassium level in blood may increase if diuretic is used with this drug.
This drug and other NSAIDs have gastrointestinal side effects.
This drug is contraindicated with chemotherapy drug methotrexate.
Gout medicine, probenecid or sulfinpyrazone can inhibit the excretion of this drug.
Taking this drug with blood coagulants increase danger of hemorrhage. It is necessary to monitor blood coagulation when combining these drugs.
This drug taken with cyclosporine can increase kidney toxicity.
Taking this drug with aspirin may decrease its blood concentration.
Caution should be exercised when taking this drug with central neural agents and alcohol.
