The usual adult oral dose of Ciprofloxacin ranges from 250 to 500 mg twice daily depending on the severity and nature of the infection.
Acute exacerbations of cystic fibrosis associated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection: Adolescents and children aged 5 years or more: 20 mg per kg body weight by mouth, up to a maximum of 750 mg twice daily.
Acute uncomplicated cystitis in women: 100 mg twice daily.
Gonorrhea: Single oral doses of 250-500 mg.
Meningococcal meningitis prophylaxis: Single oral dose of 500 mg.
Surgical Infection prophylaxis: Single oral doses of 750 mg given 60 to 90 minutes before the procedure.
