Signs and Symptoms of Overdose: Sustained-release tablet: Overdose with butamirate may cause the following symptoms: somnolence, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness and low blood pressure.
Syrup: Somnolence, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness and hypotension.
What to Do When the Patient Has Taken More Than the Recommended Dosage: Sustained-release tablet: If the patient has taken more than the recommended dosage, consult a physician.
Syrup: Gastric lavage; activated charcoal; monitoring and treatment of the vital functions if required. There is no known specific antidote.
