Sustained-release tablet: Adolescents over 12 years of age: 1 tablet twice daily.
Maximum daily dose: 2 tablets (100 mg).
Adults: 1 tablet 3 times daily (at least 8 hours between doses).
Maximum daily dose: 3 tablets (150 mg).
To be swallowed whole.
Syrup: The usual dose is 30 mg daily in 3 to 4 divided doses by mouth, or as prescribed by the physician.
What Should the Patient Do if They Miss a Dose: Sustained-release tablet: If the patient misses the dose for the day just take the next dose and subsequent doses at the usual recommended schedule. Do not double the dose unless recommended by a physician.
Syrup: Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
