Signs and symptoms: Vitamin B1 and B12 are known to be generally safe in humans when taken at recommended doses.
Symptoms which may be expected are drowsiness, nausea, hypotension, dizziness, excitatory states, respiratory depression, convulsion and coma.
Long-term administration of large doses of pyridoxine can cause sensory neuropathy or neuronopathy syndromes. Peripheral sensory neuropathy has been reported in individuals receiving pyridoxine dosages of 1-4 g daily.
