There is only limited information about the safety of Mupirocin (Bactroban) in pregnant women. If the patient is pregnant, or thinks the patient could be, or if the patient is planning to become pregnant, don't apply Mupirocin (Bactroban) without checking with the doctor.
It is not known whether the ingredients of Mupirocin (Bactroban) can pass into breast milk. If the patient is breast-feeding, the patient must check with the doctor before applying Mupirocin (Bactroban).
If the patient is using Mupirocin (Bactroban) on a cracked nipple, wash the nipple well before breast-feeding the baby.
