How to use: Wash hands before and after applying Mupirocin (Bactroban).
With a piece of clean cotton wool or a gauze swab, apply a small quantity of Mupirocin (Bactroban) ointment to cover the affected area.
After applying the ointment, the patient may cover the treated area with a sterile bandage or gauze dressing, unless the doctor has told the patient to leave it uncovered.
Don't mix Mupirocin (Bactroban) with other lotions, creams or ointments. This may dilute Mupirocin (Bactroban), which may affect the treatment.
