Hypersensitivity to the active substance, local anaesthetics of the amide type or to any of the excipients.
Bupivacaine must not be used for intravenous regional anaesthesia (Bier's block). Bupivacaine must not be used for epidural anaesthesia in patients with pronounced hypotension such as in cardiogenic or hypovolaemic shock.
