Dried ivy (Hedera helix) leaf extract powder.

Description

Each 5 ml contains Dried Ivy Leaf Extract Powder (Hedera helix Leaf extract Powder) 35 mg.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Citric Acid Monohydrate, Povidone, Isomalt, Potassium Sorbate as preservative, Cherry Flavor, Sorbitol Base.

Indications/Uses

Used as an expectorant in case of productive cough.

Overdosage

Overdose can provoke nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and agitation.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient, Ivy Leaf or to any of the excipients.
Use in children under 2 years of age is contraindicated.

Warnings

Use with caution in patients with gastritis or gastric ulcer.
Persistent or recurrent cough in children between 2-4 years of age requires medical diagnosis before treatment.
When dyspnoea, fever or purulent sputum occurs, a doctor or a pharmacist should be consulted.

Special Precautions

May have a laxative effect due to sorbitol content.
Consult the pharmacist or doctor if symptoms persist longer than one week.
