P2 – Psychotropic Substance Schedule II
Psychotropic substances with current medical use and have a potential for abuse.
No person shall manufacture, sell, import or export psychotropic substances in Schedule II unless he or she is granted a license.
P3 – Psychotropic Substance Schedule III
Psychotropic substances with current medical use and have a potential or a tendency for abuse.
No person shall manufacture, sell, import or export psychotropic substances in Schedule III or transit in all schedules unless he or she is granted a license.
P4 – Psychotropic Substance Schedule IV
Psychotropic substances with current medical use and have a lower potential or tendency for abuse than the substances listed in Schedule III.
No person shall manufacture, sell, import or export psychotropic substances in Schedule IV or transit in all schedules unless he or she is granted a license.
N2 – Narcotic Drug Category II
Ordinary narcotics
No person shall produce, import, export, dispose of or possess narcotics of category II, unless he has obtained the license.
N3 – Narcotic Drug Category III
Narcotics which are in the form of medicinal formula and contain narcotics of category II as ingredients in the Government Gazette.
No person shall produce, import, export or sell narcotics of category III, unless he has obtained the license.
S – Specially Controlled Drug
A modern or traditional drug notified by the Minister as a specially controlled drug.
(Prescription-only medicine) A pharmacist shall be on duty at the premises selling specially controlled drugs, at all times, while the premises are open for operation. Daily purchase and sale record required.
D – Dangerous Drug
A modern or traditional drug notified by the Minister as a dangerous drug.
A pharmacist shall be on duty at the premises selling dangerous drugs, at all times, while the premises are open for operation. Daily purchase and sale record required.
NDD – Non-Dangerous Drug
A pharmacist, person engaging in the medical profession or person engaging in the modern medical practice in the branches of dentistry, obstetrics or nursing shall be on duty at the premises selling modern non-dangerous drugs.
E-D – External Use-Dangerous Drug
A pharmacist shall be on duty at the premises selling modern drugs, at all times, while the premises are open for operation. Daily purchase and sale record required.
E – External Use-Non-Dangerous Drug
A pharmacist, person engaging in the medical profession or person engaging in the modern medical practice in the branches of dentistry, obstetrics or nursing shall be on duty at the premises selling external use-non-dangerous drugs.
T – Traditional Drug
Intended to be used in indigenous or traditional medical care.
No person shall produce or sell a traditional drug, import or order a traditional drug into the Kingdom, unless he has obtained a license.

FOOD – Nutritional Supplement
Product registered under Food Division of Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Public Health Thailand.
COSMETIC – Skin Care
Product registered under Cosmetic Control Group of Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Public Health Thailand.
MEDICAL DEVICE – Healthcare Device
Product registered under Medical Device Control Division of Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Public Health Thailand.
