Zobrixol SR capule/tablet/infant oral drops/Zobrixol DS syrup: Ambroxol HCl (Zobrixol) should not be taken simultaneously with antitussive (e.g codeine), because it could lead to non-expectoration of phlegm or mucus previously liquified by Zobrixol.
Zobrixol syrup: Inform the doctor or pharmacist if the patient is taking, has recently taken or might take any other medicines.
The concomitant administration of antitussives may impair the expectoration of liquefied bronchial mucus due to inhibition of the cough reflex and cause congestion of secretions.
After using ambroxol the concentrations of the antibiotics amoxicillin, cefuroxime and erythromycin in bronchial secretions and sputum are increased.
