Three vaccine doses at 6-10-14 weeks of age must be administered at intervals of at least 4 weeks (For Thailand, 3 doses of vaccine should be given for infants at 2, 4 and 6 months of age respectively).
Where HBV vaccine is not given at birth, the combined vaccine must be administered beginning as early as 6 weeks of age. For the country where there is a high endemicity of HBV including Thailand, the practice to administer HBV vaccine at birth may be continued.
In the case of children born to known HBV carrier mothers, the immuno-prophylactic measures as per Thai recommendation for hepatitis B should not to be applied. HBV should be given together with HBIg immediately at birth.

This pentavalent vaccine is for deep intramuscular injection, preferably in the anterolateral aspect of the thigh. As with all parenteral drug products, aseptic procedures should be followed during the administration of this vaccine.
