Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Known or suspected breast cancer or history of breast cancer. Known or suspected
estrogen-dependent malignancies (e.g. endometrial cancer). Vaginal bleeding of unknown etiology. Untreated endometrial hyperplasia. Previous or ongoing idiopathic venous thromboembolism (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism). Known thrombophilic abnormalities (e.g. protein C, protein S or antithrombin deficiency). Recent or ongoing arterial thromboembolic disease (e.g. angina, myocardial infarction). Acute liver disease or history of liver disease, as long as liver function tests remain abnormal. Porphyria. Known or suspected pregnancy.
