Relief of pain & inflammation of muscles, tendons & joints.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Apply 2-4 g (3-6 cm) tid-qid to affected parts & gently massage on applied area. Max: 32 g daily. Lower extremities including knees, ankles & feet Apply 4 g to affected parts qid. Max: 16 g daily to any single joint of lower extremities. Upper extremities including elbows, wrists & hands Apply 2 g to affected parts qid. Max: 8 g daily to any single joint of upper extremities.

Overdosage

View Dosanac Emulsion Gel overdosage for action to be taken in the event of an overdose.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to diclofenac, aspirin & other NSAIDs. Patients w/ asthma, urticaria or acute nasal cavity inflammation after taking aspirin or NSAIDs; GI hemorrhage or perforation. Severe hepatic or renal diseases. Pregnancy (3rd trimester).

Special Precautions

Discontinue treatment if skin symptom occurs. Not to be applied to eyes, open wounds & mucous membranes. Increased risk of platelet aggregation or CV disease. Possibility of systemic side effects w/ prolonged use. May lead to premature closure of ductus artheriosus & inhibit uterine contractions during use in 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Not recommended during lactation. Not to be used in childn. Elderly.

Adverse Reactions

Chest pain, HTN; headache, migraine, hypokinesia; acne, hyperesthesia, photosensitivity reaction, vesiculobullous rash, dry skin, skin carcinoma & ulcer, application site reaction, contact dermatitis, edema, exfoliation, paresthesia, pruritus, rash; increased creatine phosphokinase, AST, ALT & creatinine, hypercholesterolemia, hyperglycemia; abdominal pain, diarrhea, dyspepsia; arthralgia, arthrosis, back pain, myalgia; sinusitis, asthma, pneumonia, dyspnea, pharyngitis, rhinitis; allergic reaction, asthenia, neck & eye pain, flu syndrome, infection, conjunctivitis.
