Posology: A single 0.5 mL dose of Boostagen is recommended.
Boostagen may be given in individuals aged 3 years and onwards requiring protection against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis as booster, catch-up or maternal immunization in accordance with national, WHO, US or EU official recommendations or medical practices, including: Pregnant adolescents and women in the second or third trimester to prevent pertussis in mothers and in infants in early infancy (see Indications/Uses and Use in Pregnancy & Lactation)
For tetanus prophylaxis in wound management. Tetanus immunoglobulin should be administered in accordance with existing recommendations.
Household contacts of vulnerable populations and childcare providers.
Healthcare workers to prevent nosocomial transmission of pertussis to vulnerable patients.
For catch up immunization (if previous diphtheria or tetanus or pertussis booster dose missed).
During pertussis or diphtheria outbreaks.
Method of administration: Boostagen should be administered by intramuscular injection, preferably in the deltoid region.
Shake well before use. Do not use if resuspension does not occur after vigorous shaking or foreign particles or discoloration are observed. Administer the total volume of 0.5 mL intramuscularly (IM) (see Precautions).
