Each Film-Coated Tablet contains: Micronized Diosmin BP 450 mg, Hesperidin 50 mg.
Vasoprotective.
Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics: Veins: Diosmin + Hesperidin reduce the predisposition of veins to vasodilate and reduce venous stasis.
Lymphatic system: It stimulates the lymphatic activity, improving drainage of the interstitial space and increasing lymphatic flow.
Microcirculation: It reduces capillary permeability and increases capillary resistance.
Pharmacokinetics: Absorption: Diosmin is rapidly hydrolyzed in the intestine by intestinal flora and absorbed as its aglycone derivative, diosmetin.
Distribution: Diosmetin has a broad distribution into tissues.
Metabolism: It is extremely metabolized to phenolic acids or to its glucoronide derivatives of aglycone that are eliminated in the urine.
Elimination: It is eliminated in the urine and feces after 24-48 hours of oral administration.
For the treatment of organic and functional chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs, and of hemorrhoidal disease, and acute hemorrhoidal disease and attacks.
Chronic venous disease: 2 tablets daily.
Hemorrhoidal disease: Hemorrhoidal attacks: 6 tablets daily for 4 days followed by 4 tablets daily for 3 days.
Chronic hemorrhoids: 2 tablets daily.
In all cases the patients must comply with doctor's prescription.
No case report of overdose. If the patient takes more than the prescribed dose, report to the doctor or pharmacist.

The management of this product for the symptomatic treatment of acute hemorrhoids does not prevent the treatment for other anal conditions. A proctological examination should be performed and treatment reviewed if the symptoms do not subside immediately.
Pregnancy: Experimental studies in animal have not demonstrated any teratogenic effects and no harmful effects have been reported in man to date.
Lactation: In the absence of data concerning the diffusion into breast milk, breast-feeding is not recommended during treatment.
Some cases of adverse effects or events that have been reported are the following:
Gastrointestinal disorders: The common effects are diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea, vomiting.
Nervous system disorders: Dizziness, headache, malaise.
Rare effects associated to skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders are rashes, pruritus, urticaria. Any untoward and undesirable effects which are not mentioned in this monograph are to be reported to the doctor or pharmacist.
No drug interactions are known. Any other treatment being received must be reported to the doctor.
Special Precautions for Handling and Disposal: Any unused medicine should be disposed properly. Consult the pharmacist or local waste management center for more details about how to safely discard expired or unused medicines.
