If the patient is pregnant or breast-feeding, think they may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask the doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
It is not known whether Nystatin can cause harm to the unborn baby when taken by a pregnant woman or if nystatin can affect the patient's ability to conceive, however absorption of Nystatin from digestive system is small.
It is not known whether Nystatin is excreted in breastmilk. Caution should be used when Nystatin is given to women who are breast-feeding.
