Always take Sinupret/Sinupret Forte dragées as described in this monograph. Check with the doctor or pharmacist if the patient is not sure.
Sinupret: Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, the recommended dose is: Adults and adolescents from the age of 12 years: 2 dragées 3 times per day.
Children from the age of 6 to 11 years: 1 dragée 3 times per day.
Sinupret Forte: Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, the daily dose in adults and adolescents from the age of 12 years is 1 dragée 3 times a day.
Method of administration: Take Sinupret/Sinupret Forte dragées unchewed with some liquid (e.g. a glass of water). If the patient has a sensitive stomach, the patient should best take Sinupret/Sinupret Forte dragées after meals.
Duration of administration: Sinupret/Sinupret Forte dragées should not be taken for longer than 7-14 days. If the patient experiences no improvement by then, consult a physician.
If the patient forgets to take Sinupret/Sinupret Forte: If the patient has taken too few Sinupret/Sinupret Forte dragées or has forgotten to take Sinupret/Sinupret Forte dragées, do not take a double dose the next time, but rather continue taking them as prescribed by the doctor or as described in this monograph.
If the patient stops taking Sinupret/Sinupret Forte: Discontinuing Sinupret/Sinupret Forte dragées is usually harmless.
