Indications/Uses

Fungicide against dermatophytes that cause superficial tinea infections eg, tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea manuum & tinea corporis. Pityriasis versicolor.

Apply to affected skin & surrounding areas bid for 2-6 wk.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Special Precautions

Not to be used for deep infections of hair follicles or nail beds. Concomitant use w/ griseofulvin may be considered in hyperkeratotic lesions or in the palms & soles which are normally thick in layers. Do not apply near the eyes, mouth, nose, vag & other mucous membranes.

Adverse Reactions

Rarely, allergic & toxic reactions eg, contact dermatitis & irritation. Burning sensation & maceration at the area of the lesion, occasionally.
