Overdosage
Hypokalemia may occur following overdose with salbutamol. Serum potassium levels should be monitored. The preferred antidote for salbutamol overdose is a cardioselective beta-blocking agent, however beta-blocking drugs should be used with caution in patients with a history of bronchospasm.
