Contraindications

Amlodipine is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to dihydropyridine derivatives, severe hypotension, shock (including cardiogenic shock), obstruction of the outflow tract of the left ventricle (e.g. high grade aortic stenosis), haemodynamically unstable heart failure after acute myocardial infarction.
