Loxx 30/Loxx 60 Description

Loxx 30: Each delayed-release capsule contains: Duloxetine Hydrochloride equivalent to Duloxetine 30 mg (as delayed release pellets).
Loxx 60: Each delayed-release capsule contains: Duloxetine Hydrochloride equivalent to Duloxetine 60 mg (as delayed release pellets).
A selective serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SSNRI) which is advocated for major depressive disorder, fibromyalgia and in relief of diabetic peripheral neuropathic pain.
Its chemical designation is (+)-(S)-N-methyl-g-(1-naphthyloxy)2-thiophenepropylemine hydrochloride. The empirical formula is C₁₈H₁₉NOSHCl, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 333.88.
With the following inactive ingredients: Nonpareil seeds, Hypromellose, Purified Talc, Sucrose, Hypromellose Phthelate, Triethyl Citrate.
Duloxetine (Loxx 30/Loxx 60) delayed-release capsules is an antidepressant which is potent inhibitor of neuronal serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake (SSNRI) and a less potent inhibitor of dopamine reuptake. Duloxetine (Loxx 30/Loxx 60) has no significant affinity for dopaminergic, adrenergic, cholinergic, histaminergic, opioid, glutamate and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors in vitro. Duloxetine does not inhibit MAO.
Although the exact mechanisms of the antidepressant, central pain inhibitory and anxiolytic actions of duloxetine are unknown, these actions are believed to be related to its potentiation of serotonergic and noradrenergic activity in the central nervous system (CNS).
