Topically applied Halobetasol propionate can be absorbed in sufficient amounts to produce systemic effects (see Precautions).
Treatment: Appropriate symptomatic treatment is indicated in the event of overdosage. Treat electrolyte imbalance if necessary. In cases of chronic toxicity, slow withdrawal of corticosteroids is advised.
