Tetrahydrozoline HCl
Indications/Uses
Conjunctival decongestant. Quick relief of eye redness & minor discomforts caused by irritants eg, dust, smog, wind, sun glare, chlorinated water, allergic reaction, prolonged exposure to contact lens.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >6 yr Apply 1-2 drops in each eye up to tid-qid.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to tetrahydrozoline, boric acid & benzalkonium Cl. Patients who have or had glaucoma or scratched cornea.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use in case of allergic reaction; eye pain/irritation, vision changes or redness, or if condition worsens or persists for >3 days. Avoid use of soft contact lenses during application. Do not use for >5 days. Do not use if soln is colored or cloudy. Overuse may produce increased eye redness. Temporary pupil dilatation may cause sensitivity to light. Do not touch the tip of the container to any surface. Remove contact lenses prior to application & wait at least 15 min before reinsertion. For external use only. Pregnancy & lactation.
