Sign and Symptoms of Overdose: Doses greater than 2 g elemental Calcium per day can cause kidney stones, which may result to kidney damage. High ingestion of Vitamin D (50,000 - 100,000 IU) daily may result to hypervitaminosis D. Clinical sign and symptoms are loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, intense thirst, frequent urination, dehydration, hypertension, constipation, weakness, fatigue, hypercalcaemia (excessive calcium levels in the blood) and hypercalciuria (excess calcium in the urine).
When Taken More Than the Recommended Dosage: If the patient has taken more than the recommended dosage, consult a physician or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
