Contents
Per 10 mL Guaifenesin 100 mg, bromhexine HCl 4 mg, salbutamol sulfate 2 mg
Indications/Uses
Bronchial asthma, emphysema, atelectasis, acute & chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pulmonary TB, whooping cough, pneumonia & other bronchospastic conditions.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 10 mL tid. Childn 6-12 yr 5-10 mL tid, <6 yr 5 mL tid.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ hyperthyroidism, DM, serious CV disorders, HTN & peptic ulcer. Use in pregnant women is not advisable. Avoid use during lactation period.
Adverse Reactions
Skeletal muscle tremor particularly of hands; occasional muscle cramps; palpitations. Slight tachycardia, peripheral vasodilation & headache at large doses.
Drug Interactions
Simultaneous use of salbutamol w/ non-cardioselective β-blockers may suppress mutual therapeutic effects. Increased risk of tachycardia & arrythmia, particularly supraventricular extrasystoles, w/ theophylline. Increased risk of hypokalemia w/ simultaneous use of salbutamol sulfate & xanthine derivatives, systemic corticosteroids or diuretics.
