Irbesartan (Aprovel) is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to irbesartan or to any other component of the Irbesartan (Aprovel) formulation.
Do not co-administer Irbesartan (Aprovel) with aliskiren-containing medicines in patients with diabetes or with moderate to severe renal impairment (glomerular filtration rate [GFR] <60 mL/min/1.73 m2).
Do not co-administer Irbesartan (Aprovel) with Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme Inhibitors (ACEIs) in patients with diabetic nephropathy.
