Symptoms and Treatment of Overdose: Overdose after incorrect topical application or due to accidental ingestion for products containing salicylates and menthol can be associated with a number of symptoms which can include nausea, vomiting, severe abdominal pain, sweating, tinnitus, vertigo, deafness, dizziness, ataxia, headache, confusion, drowsiness and coma. Relatively large amounts of vitamin E usually cause no harm but occasionally muscle weakness, fatigue, nausea, and diarrhoea occur.
In the event of overdose, supportive care may be required. Further management should be as clinically indicated or as recommended by the national poisons center, where available.
