Safety in pregnancy has not been established. Econazole should not be used in pregnant women or in those likely to become pregnant unless the expected benefit outweighs the potential risk.
It is not known whether Econazole is excreted in breast milk or whether it has a harmful effect on the newborn. However as systemic absorption is low in humans, any excretion into breast milk is likely to be low.
