Anhisan Special Precautions

In patients with emergency hypertension, if necessary to control blood pressure after getting the desired blood pressure and if oral administration allows replacement with oral medication should be done.
In patients with hypertensive emergencies, it is reported that blood pressure may increase again on cessation of Nicardipine. Therefore, the dose of Nicardipine must be reduced gradually and blood pressure carefully controlled after the product is stopped. Furthermore, after being replaced with oral medication, patients must be warned of increased blood pressure.
Giving with caution: Careful administration: (Nicardipine injection must be given carefully to the following patients).
Patients with kidney or liver dysfunction. (This product is metabolized in the liver. In general, acute hypotension in patients with severe renal dysfunction can cause renal hypofunction).
Patients with aortic stenosis, (this symptom can be bad).
Important prevention: Because the effect of this product may be different for each patient, this product must be given carefully under close monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate.
If hypotension is clearly caused by an overdose by this product, administration must be stopped. If rapid recovery from blood pressure is needed, vasopressors (norepinephrine) should be given.
If there is pain or redness appear at the injection site after long-term use of this product, the injection site must be changed.
Other Precautions: In patients in the postoperative monitoring period after open heart surgery, it is known that some patients can experience circulatory failure and show symptoms of heart failure. The efficacy of this product for these patients is unknown because there are only a few cases.
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation: This product should only be used on pregnant women and women suspected of being pregnant provided the expected therapeutic benefits exceed the risk of treatment.
Use of this drug is not recommended during breastfeeding. If use during breastfeeding is needed, the patient must stop breastfeeding.
Use in Children: Product safety in premature infants, newborns, infants who breastfeed, infants and children is unknown.
Use in Elderly: Because parents have physiological hypofunction (liver, ginal, etc.), it is recommended to start low-dose treatment (eg intravenous drip drops at 0.5 μg/kg/minute) which continues with careful monitoring.
