VALDOXAN (agomelatine) is contraindicated in patients: with a history of previous hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or any of the excipients listed in Description; with hepatic impairment (i.e. cirrhosis or active liver disease) or transaminases exceeding 3 times the upper limit of normal (see Dosage & Administration and Precautions); taking potent CYP1A2 inhibitors (e.g. fluvoxamine, ciprofloxacin).
