Non-medicated, preservative-free irrigation kit for symptoms caused by nasal problems (eg, colds & sinusitis, hay fever & allergies, post-op nasal care, postnasal drip) in adults & childn ≥3 yr.

Fill bottle w/ lukewarm pre-boiled water (37°C) to the top line (180 mL); use distilled or bottled water in case of recent nasal surgery. Pour contents of 1 packet into the bottle & shake until powd has dissolved, then immediately use mixt. Bend over sink, tilt head down, open mouth & snugly place nostril fitting into 1 nostril, then gently squeeze & repeatedly release bottle until soln drains from opposite nostril or mouth. Gently blow nose to clear excess fluid & mucus before irrigating other nostril; caution in case of recent nasal or sinus surgery. Remove residual water by bending over & pointing nose towards knees, then gently breathing in the mouth & out the nose; repeat 5-10 times. Use any time of the day except in the last hr before bed. Patient w/ recent nasal surgery Rinse nose bd-tds. Patient w/ nasal problems Rinse nose bd. Patient w/o nasal problems Rinse nose twice wkly.

Do not use in patients who have bleeding disorder or who are using anticoagulants. Do not use in patients who have ear infection or who have recently undergone middle ear surgery. Do not sniff, swallow, laugh or talk while liqd is flowing through nose. Do not share nasal irrigator to prevent transmitting infection. Do not use pure water to wash nose. Do not use table salt to make wash soln. Do not use pure salt soln.
