Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn ≥6 yr 2 or 3 sprays into each nostril bd (morning & evening).
Special Precautions
Do not exceed recommended dose. Do not use for >3 days. Observe caution in patients w/ HTN, CAD, hyperthyroidism, DM, or difficulty in urination due to prostate gland enlargement. Use w/ extreme caution in patients receiving MAOIs. Safety in pregnancy & lactation has not been established. Dose for childn <6 yr has not been established.
Adverse Reactions
Local stinging/burning, sneezing, & dry mouth/throat. Rebound congestion & drug-induced rhinitis w/ prolonged use.
Drug Interactions
Possible interaction w/ TCAs, maprotiline, or MAOIs.
