Instil into 1 or both eye(s). Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the standard dose is 1 drop placed in the corner of the eye, nearest the nose, 3-5 times each day or as required to provide sufficient lubrication. This will depend on the severity of the symptoms.
As dry eye is a condition which varies from person to person, the drops should be used as often as necessary, to relieve dry eye(s). This may possibly be more often than the stated standard dose but this should not cause any unwanted effects.
Children: Follow the doctor's advice.
Liposic eye gel is suitable for long-term treatment, it is wise to consult the doctor if the eye condition becomes long-term or permanent.
Instructions for Use: Liposic is a liquid gel. It is easy and comfortable to use, when the instructions for instillation are followed. Due to its high viscosity; Liposic eye gel is particularly suitable for the treatment of severe dry eye symptoms. Liposic forms a protective film which keeps the surface of the eye moist for a long time. Even in severe cases, only relatively few applications (4-5/day) should be sufficient to provide relief and bring about improvement.
Liposic eye gel is very well tolerated and has a pleasantly cooling effect; it can be used more frequently, as required.
Tilt the head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid with 1 index finger. With the other hand, hold the tube in a vertical position, not touching, the eye, and instill 1 drop into the conjunctival sac. This is the part of your eye nearest the nose. Try to keep the eye open and to move it so that the gel is distributed evenly.
Note: If Liposic eye gel is used at the same time with the other eye drops/eye ointments, there should be an application time interval of approximately 5 min between use of such other medications and Liposic eye gel should always be the last medication to be applied.
If a larger dose than recommended is accidentally used, this may cause some blurring of vision, but this will soon subside.
