Based on the Ministry of Public Health Announcement: Do not use in hypersensitive patients.
Patients with liver disease should use this drug with caution.
This drug should be used with caution when used in combination with ergotamine-containing migraine medications as this may cause disability or death.
Pregnant women should use this drug with caution.
If a patient experiences a red rash, pustules, blisters, enlarged lymph nodes, or a new high fever, discontinue the drug and consult a physician or pharmacist immediately as this may be a severe cutaneous adverse drug reaction (SCARs).
This drug may cause QT prolongation and should therefore be used with caution in patients with risk factors for this condition, such as elderly patients, heart disease patients, and especially patients with arrythmia, cardiovascular disease and hypokalemia.
This drug should be used with caution when used in combination with drugs metabolized by CYP3A4, such as warfarin; heart disease drugs such as digoxin; HIV protease inhibitors such as ritonavir, as blood levels of these drugs may increase to harmful levels; and lipid-lowering drugs such as simvastatin, atorvastatin, as an increased risk of myopathy or rhabdomyolysis has been observed.
