Not a curative treatment for angina attacks, nor as initial treatment for unstable angina or MI, nor in pre-hospital phase or during 1st days of hospitalisation. W/draw treatment immediately if signs & symptoms suggestive of severe cutaneous adverse reactions including DRESS & acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) occur. May cause or worsen parkinsonian symptoms (tremor, akinesia, hypertonia). Falls related to gait instability or hypotension particularly in patients taking antihypertensives. Assess treatment benefit after 3 mth & discontinue if there is no treatment response. Closely monitor for skin reactions. May give +ve result in anti-doping test in athletes. Not to be taken by patients w/ fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrose-isomaltase insufficiency. May affect ability to drive & use machines. Moderate renal impairment. Avoid use during pregnancy. Not to be used during lactation. Childn <18 yr. Elderly >75 yr.
