Each tablet contains Ambroxol HCl 30 mg.
Ambroxol is a mucolytic agent. It enhances pulmonary surfactant production and stimulates ciliary activity. These actions result in improved mucus flow and transport (mucociliary clearance).
SIMUSOL is recommended for secretolytic therapy in acute and chronic bronchopulmonary diseases associated with abnormal mucus secretion and impaired mucus transport.
Mucolytic loosens mucus and reliefs cough in acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract accompanied by abnormal bronchial secretions.
Adults and children over 12 years: 1 tablet 3 times daily.
Children 6-12 years: 1 tablet 2-3 times daily.
The therapeutic effect may be enhanced by administering 2 tablets 2 times daily.
In long-term therapy the dose may be reduced to 1 tablet 2 times daily.
The tablets should be taken after meals with water.
Patients who have known hypersensitivity to Ambroxol.
Should not be recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy.
