Probenecid: This competes with meropenem for active tubular secretion and thus inhibits the renal excretion of meropenem. This led to the elimination half-life and plasma concentration of meropenem. Therefore, the co-administration of probenecid with meropenem is not recommended.
Valproic acid: Meropenem may reduce serum levels of valproic acid to subtherapeutic levels.
