Mercilon: Mercilon comes in 21 tablets. The tablets are biconvex, round and 6 mm in diameter. Each tablet is marked TR above 4 on one side and Organon* on the reverse side.
The active substances are: ethinyl estradiol (0.020 mg) and desogestrel (0.150 mg).
Mercilon 28: Mercilon 28 comes in 21 large (active) tablets and 7 smaller (placebo) tablets).
The tablets are biconvex, round and 6 mm (active tablets) or 4.5 mm (placebo tablets) in diameter.
The large active tablets are marked TR above 4 on one side and Organon* on the reverse side. The smaller placebo tablets are marked KH above 2 on one side and with a small square on the other side.
The active substances are: in the large tablets: ethinyl estradiol (0.020 mg) and desogestrel (0.150 mg); in the smaller tablets: no active ingredients.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: colloidal anhydrous silica; lactose monohydrate; potato starch; povidone; stearic acid; all-rac-alpha-tocopherol.
In the smaller tablets (for Mercilon 28 only): lactose monohydrate; potato starch; magnesium stearate.
