Contents
Dextran, hypromellose.
Description
Sterile, clear colorless to yellowish solution for ophthalmic.
Each 1 mL contains Dextran 1.00 mg (0.1% W/V), Hypromellose 3.00 mg (0.3% W/V).
Action
Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics: LUBRIC-EYES is the artificial tears. The combination of Dextran and Hypromellose in an aqueous presentation provides a soothing lubricant preparation for the relief of dry eye syndrome associated with deficient tear secretion or deficient mucous.
Pharmacokinetics: Not applicable.
Indications/Uses
For the temporary relief of burning and irritation due to dryness of the eye and for use as a protectant against further irritation. For the temporary relief of discomfort due to minor irritations of the eye or to exposure to wind or sun.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Recommended Dose: Adult and Children: Instill 1-2 drops into the affected eye(s).
Mode of Administration: LUBRIC-EYES is administered in the eye.
Overdosage
The overdose of LUBRIC-EYES is treated by washing out of the eye with lukewarm water.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Dextran or Hypromellose or any of the excipients.
Special Precautions
Headache, eye pain, vision changes, irritation of the eyes, persistent redness, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 3 days, discontinue use and consult the doctor.
Do not use if solution changes color, becomes cloudy or a precipitate is present.
Do not use if the container or carton is unsealed or damaged.
Do not touch the tip of the opened container and do not touch the surface of the eye or its surrounding area with the tip of container.
Replace cap tightly after using.
Use In Pregnancy & Lactation
Pregnancy: The components Dextran and Hypromellose exert a surface protective effect. These components are not expected to be absorbed systemically. LUBRIC-EYES can be used during pregnancy.
Lactation: It is unknown whether Dextran, Hypromellose or any of components are excreted in human milk. LUBRIC-EYES can be used during breast-feeding.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, blurred vision, dry eye (residual), eyelid disorder, abnormal sensation in the eye, photophobia, eye pruritus.
Drug Interactions
If more than one topical ophthalmic medicinal product is being used, the medicines must be administered at least 5 minutes apart. Eye ointments should be administered last.
Caution For Usage
Method of use: Wash the hands before starting.
Remove the ampoule and twist off the cap of the ampoule.
Hold the ampoule upside down and tilt the head back.
Pull down the lower eyelid with a finger to create a "pocket" between the eyelid and the eye and glance up.
Instill 1-2 drops into a "pocket" of a lower eyelid, do not allow the tip of the ampoule to contact with eye, eyelash, eyelid, hand or any surface.
Release the lower eyelid and keep closed for a moment.
If needed to use drops in both eyes, repeat the procedure.
Dispose of ampoule after use. Do not keep to use again.

Store below 30°C.
