Each ml contains Leucovorin calcium 10.8 mg equivalent to Leucovorin 10 mg.
Leucovorin is one of several active, chemically reduced derivatives of folic acid. It is useful as an antidote to drugs which act as folic acid antagonists.
Leucovorin Calcium Injection USP is a sterile, preservative-free solution indicated for intramuscular (IM) or intravenous (IV) administration in a single-dose vial.
Leucovorin calcium is chemically known as Calcium N-[p-[[[(6RS)-2-amino-5-formyl-5, 6, 7, 8-tetrahydro-4-hydroxy-6-pteridinyl]methyl]amino]benzoyl]-L-glutamate (1:1). The molecular formula is C20H21CaN7O7 and having a molecular weight of 511.5.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide, hydrochloric acid and water for injection.
