Prevention of flu especially in those at increased risk of associated complications: Persons ≥65 yr; adult & childn w/ chronic pulmonary & CV disorders, chronic metabolic diseases, chronic renal dysfunction & immunodeficiencies; childn 6 mth to 18 yr on long-term ASA treatment.
IM/deep SC injAdult & childn ≥36 mth 0.5 mL. Childn 6-35 mth 0.25 or 0.5 mL. For childn who have not previously been vaccinated, a 2nd dose should be given after an interval of at least 4 wk.
