Description
It contains Clotrimazole USP 1% & Propylene glycol USP Base.
Action
Pharmacology: The active ingredient is Clotrimazole, the Broad Spectrum Antimycotic with Antibacterial activity against some bacteria. Otomycosis is generally due to Aspergillus and Candida species and sometimes due to Dermatophytes. CANDID Ear Drops assure success up to 100% in Otomycoese. The use of Antibiotic and Corticosteroid Ear Drops can give rise to secondary fungal growth. This can be treated with CANDID Ear Drops.
Indications/Uses
Otomycosis. Concomitant therapy with Antibiotic and Corticosteroids Ear drops. Prophylaxis for swimmers.
Dosage/Direction for Use
4-5 drops are instilled in the ear 3-4 times daily or as directed by the Physician.
Contraindications
Except for possible hypersensitivity reactions, there are no contraindications for CANDID Ear Drops.
Special Precautions
When the eardrum is perforated, CANDID Ear drops should be used with caution. This is in accordance with the general directions for the use of all Ear Drops.
