Description
Each tube contains: Mupirocin 2% w/w.
Action
BACIDAL is a topical antibacterial against gram-positive bacteria e.g. Staphylococcus aureus including methicillin resistant Staph. aureus.
Indications/Uses
BACIDAL is used for the treatment of various skin infections due to susceptible organisms such as Staphylococcus aureus, beta-hemolytic Streptococcus and S. pyogenes.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply a small amount of BACIDAL to the affected area up to three times a day for up to 10 days. The treated area may be covered with a gauze dressing if desired.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity reactions to mupirocin or any components of BACIDAL formulations.
Adverse Reactions
BACIDAL is usually well tolerated but local reactions such as burning, stinging, and itching may occur after the application of BACIDAL to the skin.
