Na hyaluronate
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1 syringe at a time into the knee joint cavity at ≥6 mth interval.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Patients w/ infection or severe inflammation at joint cavity; skin disease or infection near inj site.
Special Precautions
Hypersensitivity. Avoid intravascular inj, extra-articular inj or inj in synovial tissues; strenuous exercise or action up to 48 hr after administration. Do not re-administer if symptoms do not improve. Exacerbation of local inflammation if administered to severely inflamed joints caused by deformative OA; administer product after removal of existing inflammatory symptoms. Remove fluid in case of articular fluid retention. History of or current liver disease. Not recommended during pregnancy & lactation. Not recommended in ped. Elderly ≥65 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Inj site pain, warmth, redness (erythema) & swelling. Musculoskeletal pain, OA, arthralgia; nasopharyngitis, bronchiolitis, UTI, herpes simplex, herpes zoster, laryngitis; increased BP, liver test level abnormalities, elevated AST, ALT & blood glucose, +ve leukocyte; headache, sciatica, ruptured cerebral aneurysm; stomach ulcer, reflux esophagitis, esophagitis, diarrhea, gum & epigastric pain; pain; subarachnoid hemorrhage; diabetes; insomnia; oropharyngeal pain.
Drug Interactions
Not recommended to administer w/ other drugs.
