Non-Sedative Antihistamine.
Each tablet contains: Cetirizine 2HCl 10mg.
Seasonal allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, perennial rhinitis, itching, and chronic idiopathic urticaria.
1 tablet per dose, once a day.
Patients with a history of hypersensitivity to this medicine.
Patients with renal insufficiency.
Careful administration: Studies conducted with healthy volunteers at doses of 20 and 25mg/day have not revealed effects on alertness or reaction time, however, patients are advised not to exceed the recommended dose if driving or operating machinery.
Others: It has been reported that Cetirizine hydrochloride could be used up to 20mg under doctor or pharmacist's order if there are no improvements of symptoms with usual dose of 10mg a day.
Use during pregnancy and lactation: No teratogenic effect has been reported from animal studies. As with other medicines, the use of TERIZIN in pregnancy should be avoided.
TERIZIN is contra-indicated in lactating women as the active ingredient, cetirizine, is a little amount excreted in breast milk.
There have been occasional reports of mild and transient side effects such as headache, dizziness, dry mouth, gastro-intestinal discomfort and agitation. If affected the dose may be taken as 5mg in the morning and 5mg in the evening.
As with other antihistamines it is advisable to avoid excessive alcohol consumption.
Tight container, store at 1°C~30°C.
