Contents
Per mL Neomycin sulfate 3.5 mg, polymyxin B sulfate 10,000 u, fluocinolone acetonide 250 mcg
Indications/Uses
Treatment of inflammatory & pruritic dermatoses. Acute or chronic otitis externa due to or complicated by organisms susceptible to neomycin sulfate or polymyxin B sulfate. Adjunctive management of acute or chronic dermatoses of external ear whether allergic, seborrheic or neurogenic in origin eg, atopic, contact, seborrheic & chronic eczematous dermatitis, neurodermatitis & psoriasis vulgaris.
Dosage/Direction for Use
3-4 drops to cleansed & dried affected ear bid to qid or more frequently as required. Alternatively, may be used to saturate wick placed in the external auditory canal.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Tuberculous, fungal & viral lesions of the skin. Not to be used where there is perforation of the tympanic membrane. Not intended for ophth use.
Special Precautions
Discontinue use should sensitivity or idiosyncratic reactions occur. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Burning, itching, inflation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, allergic contact dermatitis, secondary infections, skin atrophy, nephrotoxicity, ototoxicity.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant use w/ kanamycin, paromomycin, streptomycin.
