Initially 40 mg once daily. May be increased to max dose of 80 mg once daily.

Adverse Reactions
Dizziness, headache, dose-related orthostatic hypotension; impaired renal function; hyperkalemia, myalgia, arthralgia.

Drug Interactions
Potentiation of antihypertensive effects by drugs that lower BP. Additive hyperkalaemic effect w/ K supplements, K-sparing diuretics, or drugs that cause hyperkalaemia. Increased risk of renal impairment w/ NSAIDs. NSAIDs may attenuate hypotensive effect of telmisartan. Increased serum conc of digoxin. Interactions may occur w/ drugs affecting CYP450 enzymes.
