Indications/Uses
Adjunct treatment to minimize the occurrence of toxicity associated w/ chemotherapy treatments.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Patient undergoing chemotherapy 1.5 g/m2 (corresponding to 2,500 mg) administered by slow IV infusion. Lower dosages (300 or 600 mg) administered by IM route or slowly by IV route can be employed in case of long-term treatment.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Refrain from using glutathione as skin whitener. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Skin rashes; serious & potentially fatal SJS & TEN. Derangement in thyroid function, kidney dysfunction (potentially resulting in kidney failure), severe abdominal pain in patients receiving glutathione IV twice wkly.
