Indications/Uses
Moderate to severe atopic eczema unresponsive to conventional therapy.
Special Precautions
Not for ophth, oral or intravag use. Not to be used continuously for >6 wk w/ free period application for up to 2 wk. Childn <2 yr. Tacroz Immunocompromised patients or those w/ conditions that may increased systemic absorption. Not be applied to pre-malignant skin conditions. Tacroz Forte Increased risk of varicella zoster or HSV infection, eczema herpeticum. Lymphadenopathy. Minimize or avoid exposure to natural or artificial sunlight (tanning beds or UVA/B treatment). Not recommended in patients w/ Netherton's syndrome. Erythroderma.
Adverse Reactions
Tacroz Local irritation & skin disorders (herpes simplex & zoster infections); headache & flu-like symptoms. Facial flushing & skin irritations (alcohol consumption). Tacroz Forte Skin burning, pruritus, skin erythema, skin tingling, folliculitis, acne, herpes simplex (herpes, cold sores, eczema herpeticum, Kaposi's varicelliform eruption); hyperaesthesia; alcohol intolerance.
Drug Interactions
Tacroz Facial flushing or skin irritation w/ alcohol. Tacroz Forte CYP3A4 inhibitors eg, erythromycin, itraconazole, ketoconazole, fluconazole, Ca channel blockers & cimetidine.
